I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I have a heck of a time finding a purse I like. Some are super big, like carry a newborn infant big, while others are so small I can stick some lipstick in there and that's about it. Maybe my license if I'm lucky.
This made think that, with the right pattern, I should just break down and make my own purse. There are so many cute patterns out there and tons of great fabric to choose from. Besides, who doesn't like to say, "I made that!"
What you see here are the beginnings of my bag. On left is the lining and on the right you see what will eventually be the outside. My goal was to get this sucker finished up this weekend. But I got distracted. By my incredible mess sewing room. Seriously people. I cannot think in there. So, I took a break to got through the fabric and see what's what. With some serious purging, the shelves are looking better and I'll be back on track to deal with my baggage. Can't wait to show you the finished product!
I try so hard to avoid big purses...but I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail. ;-)

Cute! Although I have resigned myself to the fact that I always need a huge purse....
