This was taken about 4:30is just after it had rained. It actually rained a little down here!! How exciting is that?
Our morning was spent watching Floyd Landis rip the Tour wide open with a spectacular finish. It was moving and awesome! We're celebrating the end of the tour tomorrow morning by watching the riders enter Paris and eating French toast. Sure, we're corny geeks but I love me a good bike race!
This was taken from my front porch at around noon. My little patch of beautiful blue sky is a reminder that even through the suckiest of weeks there's beauty to be found if you only stop and look for it.
My week was filled with stupid little problems that seemed insurmountable...but they really weren't. Little things that annoyed the crap out of me and gave me a migraine that lasted 2 days. I kid you not people. Two days of pain and nausea. Fun fun!
Most of my worries have either been solved or are in the process of being solved. I'm taking it easy. Everyone in my house is healthy, happy and loved. Looking at my Saturday Sky it's hard to stay annoyed by much of anything.
This shot was taken at 7:00am from my backyard. Believe it or not I actually live in the 'burbs. Our lot has so many Live Oaks on it that, for a long time, we had no grass in the back. It took tons of pruning and selective cutting to get some sun out there. I went for a run with Boogie about an hour and a half after this pic was taken and it sprinkled on us a little. I suppose it's odd to wish for rain on the Fourth of July weekend but we're about an eyelash away from water restrictions. This afternoon it rained a little but I don't think it was enough. Wow. Never knew I could talk so much about the weather.
I ran into this over at Margene's and followed her links to Sandy. This is a neat little idea so here we go:
I took this around 8:00 pm from my driveway. I think the temp was in the 90s, (that's a pretty fair guess almost any time of year down here!) but I'm not sure.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
