I made this dress awhile back and finally got around to sewing a little hook and eye on the back. The pattern called for a loop and button but, frankly, it all looked a bit clunky to me. Sure, the hook and eye isn't as cute as a pink button but it's a whole lot more secure than the icky loop thing I'd made. The fabric is a lightweight corduroy and I just love it. It's so whimsical. (That's such a great word. Whimsical. I'm gonna find a reason to use that word in a sentence today.)
I'll have lots of time to think about ways to use the word whimsical as well as other words today as I'll be spending most of it sitting around with my foot propped up. Since my week has been just this side of craptastic I thought I'd end it on a real high note by breaking my toe last night. That's right. I broke my damn toe. It's the same toe I manage to break during a yoga class last summer. I'd like to be able to tell you that, this time, I broke it during yoga or doing something equally interesting but no. I just fell down the stairs. Frankly, after the week I've had I'm freakin' grateful I didn't break my leg.
Y'all have a great a safe weekend! Be careful on stairs, people!
Cute dress! That fabric makes me want to learn to sew.

I agree, you now have more knitting time! I'm glad it wasn't worse. I hope this week is better than last.

Poor baby! Too bad you don't have a sedentary hobby -- like knitting -- to keep you amused ;-)
Keep it up!
