Hug

Seeing the comments from y'all was a boost.  Like a big hug.  Thank you so very much.  Things can only get better, right? :-)

My Grandmother's memorial service was very sweet.  I got to see family I hadn't seen in ages, many of whom live not a stone's throw from me.  I think Ma would have enjoyed the whole day. 

I'm giving myself a day off today.  Knitting up a swatch for a new sweater for my Lili and drinking some coffee.  yay me!  Thanks again to all of you for your words of encouragement and support.

Tough

I've always been relatively quiet on the subject of my private life.  If things are rough, I'll share the bare bones and that's about it.  I admire bloggers who are all out with their lives.  Who use their blogs to share their triumphs and failures.  I wish I had that kind of courage.  I just don't.

Here's what I will say.  This month has sucked horribly.  Everyone in my little family has been sick.  Big B had an outpatient surgery.  My grandmother's health failed and she passed away 6 February.  Tomorrow we drive to her home town for the memorial service.

Seems like a hundred other little things have happened; each one stung a bit more than the last.  Maybe I'm overly-sensitive.  Maybe I need a break.  But I'm worn thin and could use a hug and a stiff drink.

I'll be more upbeat next time, I promise.  Just need to get through the rest of this horrible month.
