Thank you all for your prayers and wishes for my family. Big B returned Saturday evening. In spite of the sad reason for his trip home, Big B said he enjoyed reconnecting with family and having time alone with his Mom.
One of my goals for the new year was to knit for charity. I didn't put it on my list because it's a goal that's always been in the back of my head. I guess I never acted on it because I didn't feel I could knit fast enough...or well enough for that matter.
I'm knitting preemie caps for Knit One, Save One. I love knitting these little caps but I'm always stunned at how small they are. Look closely at those three up there...one of them is...oh...my...god...CROCHETED!! Yeah, I crocheted a cap. Know you know how Rasta Rapunzel came by her hot lid. It's a little bumpy and uneven in spots but I'm kinda proud of the ugly little thing. Not sure if I'll crochet another one, though. It seems I'm slower at crochet than I am at knitting. Who knew that was possible?!

Very nice. And by not listing it as a goal, you are still knitting them from your heart and not out of any sort of obligation.
Whadaya mean you thought you didn't have da skillz? Puhleez sistah.

The hats are adorable! I'm faster at crocheting than knitting, but that's because I've been doing it most of my life.

Makes sense - you're probably more experienced at knitting.
