We made it through the inspections last Tuesday then waited to hear from the buyers. By Friday we'd heard nothing and were getting a tad twitchy. Our Realtor assured us that, if the deal fell through he had at least 3 more sets of folks interested in our home. Around noon on Friday I decided that the waiting was killing me so Boogie and I would head out for a run/walk. I was getting Boogie into the stroller when our Realtor called.
Gosh. You know, the trouble with the written word is that I can't really draw out a pause here. Sure, I can hope that you'll read my ramblings to build the suspense surrounding what I'm about to share. But, in the end I know that you'll probably skip this part recognizing it for a really cheap ploy to buy time and thus heighten your anticipation of my news. It was fun while it lasted.
The buyers accepted the inspection and we close on May 10th!!!! Hot damn! We're thrilled that we don't have to let folks view the house any more, (read: I don't have to be as uptight about cleaning it) and we can really concentrate on finding a new home. Yippee!
Gotta say that this stress has really taken a toll on my knitting. I made a monumental error on my Koigu sock and need to do some serious frogging.
I managed to finish one sock and, although I like the yarn my tension changed as I knit so it's a tad snug. I'm just uninspired to cast on the second sock. I'm not sure if that qualifies as a bonk or just simple ambivalence with a dash of ADD. And I still haven't seamed Boogie's sweater. Instead of catching up on all those projects I find myself drawn to Glee. It's simple and fairly easy to carry around right now. I think simple is good. Oh yeah. I started some mitered squares. They're simple too, right?
